They proposed that, in developing the guide, the Secretariat should collect and draw from existing best practices in strengthening judicial integrity and capacity.

Pursuant to Economic and Social Council resolution 2007/22, UNODC, in cooperation with the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative and the Research Institute on Judicial Systems of the National Research Council of Italy, prepared a resource guide on strengthening judicial integrity and capacity, which was initially elaborated by a group of experts on justice sector reform in 2009.
وبمقتضى قرار المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي 2007/22 أعد المكتب، بالتعاون مع مبادرة سيادة القانون الخاصة برابطة المحامين الأمريكية ومعهد بحوث النظم القضائية التابع لمجلس البحوث الوطنية الإيطالي، دليلاً للموارد بشأن تدعيم نزاهة القضاء وقدرته كان قد صاغه في البداية فريق خبراء معني بإصلاح القطاع القضائي في عام 2009.
