It is worth recalling here the three principal points that are relevant to our discussion today: conclusion of the Comprehensive NuclearTestBan Treaty, negotiation of the treaty banning the future production of fissile material and the determination to move forward systematically and step by step in order to reduce nuclear weapons overall and secure general and complete disarmament.

وقد أكدت من جديد ورقة رئيس المؤتمر التي تم اعتمادها في نهاية الدورة على اﻵتي: " التزام الدول الحائزة على اﻷسلحة النووية بجدية متابعة الخطوات المتتالية والمتقدمة لتخفيض اﻷسلحة النووية على المستوى العالمي، مع مراعاة الهدف اﻷسمى ﻹزالة تلك اﻷسلحة والتزام جميع الدول بتحقيق نزع السلاح الشامل والكامل تحت رقابة دولية صارمة وفعالة " .
