79. under article 126 of the Code, " It is a punishable offence for a public official to commit or order an act of torture with a view to extorting a confession from an accused person.
79- فقد نصت المادة 126 عقوبات على " تأثيم فعل التعذيب أو الأمر به والحاصل من الموظف العام بغرض حمل متهم على الاعتراف.

125. under article 42 of the Constitution, " Any citizen who is arrested or detained or whose freedom is restricted in any way shall be treated in a manner consistent with his dignity as a human being.
125- نصت المادة 42 من الدستور على أن " كل مواطـن يقبض عليه أو يحبس أو تقيد حريته بأي قيد تجب معاملته بما يحفظ عليه كرامة الإنسان، ولا يجوز إيذاؤه بدنياً أو معنوياً.
