2. The initial election shall be held as soon as possible but in any case within 18 months after the date of entry into force of this Convention.

2. No later than six months after the entry into force of the present Convention the Conference of the States Parties shall be convened by the Secretary-General of the United Nations.

ويبدأ سريان تلك التحفُّظات بالتزامن مع بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية فيما يخص الطرف المعني.

2. Any additional annexes adopted after the entry into force of this Convention shall be restricted to procedural, scientific, technical or administrative matters.
2 - تقتصر أي مرفقات إضافية تُعتمد بعد بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية على المسائل الإجرائية أو العلمية أو التقنية أو الإدارية.

We have had to prepare and wait longer than we had expected for the entry into force of this Convention.

The Government of Sweden objects to these reservations and considers that they constitute an obstacle to the entry into force of the Convention between Sweden and the Republic of Maldives.
وتعترض حكومة السويد على هذه التحفظات وتعتبر أنها تشكل عقبة تحول دون بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية بين السويد وجمهورية ملديف.

1. The Secretariat shall call a meeting of the Conference of the Parties not later than two years after the entry into force of the present Convention.

1. Following the entry into force of the present Treaty, the Parliament of the Union State shall, on the proposal of the Supreme State Council, consider a draft Constitutional Act determining on the basis of the present Treaty the State structure of the Union State and its legal system.
١ - عقب بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية وبدعوة من مجلس الدولة اﻷعلى ينظر برلمان الدولة الاتحادية في مشروع القانون الدستوري الذي يحدد تنظيم الدولة الاتحادية وجهازها القانوني على أساس هذه الاتفاقية.
