I refer to the announcement of 2 August 2013 that Mr. Nickolay Mladenov has been appointed as your Special Representative for Iraq and Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq, replacing Mr. Martin Kobler. I have the honour to inform you that the Republic of Iraq welcomes the appointment of Mr. Mladenov and wishes him success in his new post. We look forward to continuing to cooperate with the incoming Special Representative.
