In its resolution 53/208 C, the General Assembly stressed the need for the continuous development, maintenance and enrichment of United Nations Web sites with a view to achieving equal treatment of the six official languages on those Web sites, and requested the Secretary-General to submit proposals in this connection to the General Assembly at its fifty-fourth session through the Committee on Conferences and the Committee on Information.
١ - شددت الجمعية العامة، في قرارها ٥٣/٢٠٨ جيم، على ضرورة مواصلة تنمية وصيانة وإثراء مواقع اﻷمم المتحدة على الشبكة العالمية بهدف تحقيق معاملة متساوية للغات الرسمية الست في هذه المواقع، وطلبت إلى اﻷمين العام أن يقدم مقترحات في هذا الصدد إلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها الرابعة والخمسين عن طريق لجنة المؤتمرات ولجنة اﻹعلام.

The Committee also recalls that it requested the Secretary-General to expedite the completion of the review of the Field Service category and to submit his comprehensive proposals in that regard to the General Assembly at its fifty-eighth session, as recommended by the Joint Inspection Unit (A/57/434, para. 4).
