A memorandum of understanding was also signed between Morocco and Spain on 23 December 2003 requiring both parties to repatriate unaccompanied children. Morocco is continuing to take action on behalf of this group of children so that they can live a decent life as cherished members of society.
كما تم أيضاً تطبيق مذكرة تفاهم بتاريخ 23 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2003 بين المغرب وإسبانيا تقضي بقيام كلا الدولتين بترحيل الأطفال غير المرافقين نحو بلدانهم الأصلية، هذا ويواصل المغرب جهوده للنهوض بأوضاع هذه الفئة من الأطفال ضماناً لحياة كريمة لهذه الشريحة الهامة من المجتمع.

288. The Government is working, inter alia, to provide care for orphans with a view to serving this group of children and helping them to integrate into society and become ordinary and useful individuals.

While the Committee is aware that the State party has established a National Policy on Special Education for children with disabilities, it expresses its concern about the fact that there is a considerable social stigma attached to this group of children and that this situation represents a barrier to their social integration.
