In the present Judgment, the Court has concluded that both Parties committed internationally wrongful acts, and it has noted that those acts gave rise to the damage sustained by the Parties; consequently, Hungary and Slovakia are both under an obligation to pay compensation and are both entitled to obtain compensation.

We eagerly anticipate the judgments of the Court in those two cases with environmental implications, and we hope that they will build on the foundations of the now-famous Gabčíkovo-Nagymaros case between Hungary and Slovakia.
ونتطلع باهتمام إلى الأحكام التي تصدرها المحكمة في هاتين القضيتين لما تنطويان عليه من آثار بيئية، ونرجو أن يُستند فيها إلى الأسس التي أرسيت في قضية غابشيكوفو - ناغيماروس بين هنغاريا وسلوفاكيا.

Recent additions to the list are the case between Hungary and Slovakia over the Danube dams; and the request from the World Health Organization for an advisory opinion concerning the use of nuclear weapons - the only advisory-opinion request in the docket at present.

2. GabčíkovoNagymaros Project (Hungary/Slovakia) 124. On 2 July 1993, Hungary and Slovakia jointly notified to the Court a Special Agreement, signed between them on 7 April 1993, for the submission of certain issues arising out of differences regarding the implementation and the termination of the Budapest Treaty of 16 September 1977 on the construction and operation of the GabčíkovoNagymaros barrage system.
