The Committee encourages the State party to regularly update its core document (HRI/CORE/KOR/2010) submitted in 2010, in accordance with the harmonized guidelines on reporting under the international human rights treaties, in particular those on the common core document, as adopted by the fifth Inter-Committee Meeting of the human rights treaty bodies held in June 2006 (HRI/GEN.2/Rev.6, chap. I).

At its sixty-ninth session, the Committee had before it the report of the eighteenth meeting of persons chairing the human rights treaty bodies held at Geneva on 22 and 23 June 2006, including the report of the fifth inter-committee meeting held at Geneva from 19 to 21 June 2006 and attended by the Chairperson, Mr. Yutzis and Mr. Sicilianos.

The present document contains the report on the twenty-third meeting of the Chairs of the human rights treaty bodies, which was held in Geneva on 30 June and 1 July 2011, pursuant to Assembly resolution 49/178.

The Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities welcomes the guidelines on the independence and impartiality of members of the human rights treaty bodies (Addis Ababa guidelines), endorsed by the twenty-fourth meeting of the Chairs of the human rights treaty bodies, which was held in Addis Ababa from 25 to 29 June 2012.
