In the statement by its President of 19 January 2004 (S/PRST/2004/1), the Security Council reiterated the importance of carrying out disarmament, demobilization and reintegration programmes, an increasingly essential component of peacekeeping mandates, as comprehensively and effectively as possible in post-conflict situations under its consideration.
27 - أكد مجلس الأمن مجددا في بيانه الرئاسي المؤرخ 19 كانون الثاني/يناير 2004 أهمية الاضطلاع ببرامج نزع السلاح والتسريح وإعادة الإدماج، التي تعتبر مكونا متزايد الأهمية من مكونات ولايات حفظ السلام، بقدر ما أمكن من الشمول والفعالية في حالات ما بعد انتهاء الصراع التي هي قيد نظره.

The Council noted that in matters relating to the maintenance of international peace and security under its consideration, conflict analysis and contextual information on, inter alia, possible security implications of climate change is important, when such issues are drivers of conflict, represent a challenge to the implementation of Council mandates or endanger the process of consolidation of peace.
