5. At its thirty-seventh session, by its resolution 37/30 of 23 November 1982, the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General to initiate consultations with all parties directly concerned, with a view to exploring avenues for achieving a comprehensive settlement of the problem, and to report to the Assembly at its thirty-eighth session.

13. The Secretary-General acknowledges that, as recommended by the General Assembly, he has asked the Office of Internal Oversight Services to conduct an investigation into the insufficient use of expertise in procurement planning, which led to the payment for aircraft services not utilized and to report to the Assembly at its fifty-third session on its findings and recommendations.
١٣ - يسلم اﻷمين العام بأنه طلب، على نحو ما أوصت بذلك الجمعية العامة، إلى مكتب خدمات المراقبة الداخلية أن يجري تحقيقا في الاستخدام غير الكافي للخبرة الفنية في تخطيط الشراء مما أدى إلى دفع مبالغ مقابل خدمات طائرات لم تستخدم، وأن يقدم تقريرا إلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها الثالثة والخمسين بشأن استنتاجاته وتوصياته.

7. Requests the Secretary-General to remain in contact with Governments and the relevant international and non-governmental organizations concerned and to report to it at its fifty-seventh session on the progress made concerning the promotion of a new humanitarian order and compliance with refugee law, international humanitarian law and human rights instruments in armed conflicts and emergency situations.
