Tunisia will continue its strong and unflinching support to the Palestinian people in their struggle to restore their legitimate rights, including the right to establish its own independent State on its national soil, with Al Quds AlSharif as its capital.
وإن تونس لتؤكد أنها ستظل سندا قويا وثابتا للشعب الفلسطيني من أجل استعادة كل حقوقه المشروعة، بما فيها حقه في إقامة دولته المستقلة على أرضه وعاصمتها القدس الشريف.

Tunisia stresses the need to strengthen the role of the United Nations in the field of development in order to consolidate the General Assembly’s prerogatives with regard to preparing cooperation policies and monitoring their execution.
وإن تونس لتشدد على ضرورة دعم دور منظمة اﻷمم المتحدة في هذا الميدان لتنمية وتعزيز صلاحيات الجمعية العامة فيما يتعلق بوضع سياسات التعاون ومتابعة تنفيذها.

Tunisia, which supports the renewal of Mr. Boutros-Ghali's mandate, stresses the importance of continuing the reform process undertaken in recent years.

Tunisia takes this opportunity to reiterate its support for the noble goals and guidelines contained in that draft programme, which are in keeping with our policy for the new era.
وإن تونس تغتنم الفرصة لتؤكد تأييدها لما ورد بمشروع هذا البرنامج من توجهات وأهداف سامية ومن خطط عملية تتماشى مع السياسة المتبعة في تونس العهد الجديد.

Tunisia, which has taken part in these efforts, believes that any restructuring process should help promote the universal nature of the Organization and strengthen its democratic posture, so that it may make a better contribution in the area of development.
وإن تونس التي شاركت في هذا المجهود تعتقد أن أي مشروع ﻹعادة الهيكلة يجب أن يساهم في تعزيز البعد العالمي للمنظمة وطابعها الديمقراطي حتى تستطيع تقديم مساهمة أفضل في مجال التنمية.

135. Tunisia is intent on promoting the values -- liberty, tolerance and solidarity -- which are both authentic and modern.

Tunisia remains confident that, at a later stage, the United Nations will offer the cooperation necessary to facilitate the settlement of this issue in all its aspects.

In its various development plans, Tunisia has continued to work for development and modernization in order to strengthen its capacity to keep up with international changes and actively contribute to building a world of peace and security and to make international relations more balanced and based on solidarity.
وإن تونس لعازمة ضمن مخططاتها الإنمائية على المضي قدما في مسيرة التطوير والتحديث لتعزيز قدرتها على مسايرة التحولات العالمية، والإسهام الفعال في بناء عالم يسوده السلم والاستقرار، وإرساء علاقات دولية أكثر توازنا وتضامنا.

Since acceding to the Security Council as a non-permanent member, Tunisia has tried to ensure that its contribution to the work of that body is based on dialogue with the other members in order to bring viewpoints closer together and to reach results that would guarantee the success of all endeavours to safeguard peace and international security.
وإن تونس منذ أن أصبحت عضوا غير دائم في مجلس الأمن، قد حرصت على أن تكون مساهمتها في أعماله قائمة على التشاور وتبادل الآراء مع أعضائه الآخرين لتقريب وجهات النظر والوصول إلى نتائج تسمح بضمان كل أسباب النجاح للحفاظ على الأمن والسلم الدوليين.

" In that regard, Tunisia commends the noble objectives underlying the United Nations Declaration on HIV/AIDS and the fight against the proliferation of contagious diseases.

Tunisia exhorts the international community, and especially the two sponsors of peace, to act expeditiously and firmly to save the peace and avert the dangers that threaten the region so that the Palestinian people is able to recover its legitimate rights to the creation of an independent State on its own soil with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, and to ensure the restoration to Syria and Lebanon of the territories which Israel has occupied.
وإن تونس لتدعو المجتمع الدولي، وراعيي السلام بالخصوص، إلى التحرك السريع والحازم ﻹنقاذ السلام واستبعاد المخاطر المحدقة بالمنطقة وليسترد الشعب الفلسطيني حقوقه المشروعة في إقامة دولته المستقلة على أرضه وعاصمتها القدس الشريف، وتسترجع كل من سوريا ولبنان أراضيهما المحتلة.

Tunisia welcomes the adoption by the General Assembly of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty and its opening for signature. We hope that all Member States will adhere to this Treaty, in order to ensure its universal application.
وإن تونس تستبشر بمصادقة الجمعية العامة لﻷمم المتحدة على مشــروع معاهدة الحظر الشامل للتجارب النووية وبانطلاق مرحلة التوقيــع عليهــا وتعرب عن أملها في أن تنضم كافة الدول الى هذه الاتفاقية حتى يكون تطبيقها عالميا.

While welcoming the decision of the United Nations on establishing a system of standby forces to act to intervene rapidly and efficiently in peacekeeping operations, Tunisia solemnly declares its readiness today to participate in that system, thus confirming our commitment to the Organization and to its role in the maintenance of world peace and security.
وإن تونس إذ ترحب بمبادرة اﻷمم المتحدة الرامية لوضع ترتيبات خاصة بإنشــاء قوات احتياطية بغية التدخل السريع الناجــع في عمليات حفظ السلام، تعلن اليوم رسميا عــن قرارهــا المشاركة في هذه القوات تأكيــدا منهــا لالتزامها باﻷمــم المتحدة وبدورها في استتباب اﻷمن والسلم في العالم.

Tunisia supports any initiative that takes into account these principles, and it expresses its appreciation for the initiatives and ideas presented by some States, in particular friendly neighbouring Italy, in order to achieve a comprehensive vision regarding reform of the Security Council.
وإن تونس تسانــد كل مبادرة تأخذ بعين الاعتبار المبادئ المذكورة سالفا وتعرب عن تقديرها لما تقدمه بعض الدول، وخاصة إيطاليا الدولة الجارة والصديقة، من مبادرات وأفكار ترمــي الــى بلورة تصور متكامل ﻹصلاح مجلس اﻷمن.
