1. Since the issuance of my report to the Council of 10 July 1996 (S/1996/541) and the addenda of 17 and 23 July 1996 (S/1996/541/Add.1 and Add.2), a further seven replies have been received from six States (five Member States and one non-member State), bringing to 60 the total of replies received as at 15 August 1996 (two of them from the same non-Member State).
