We welcome the fact that the United Nations has long been involved in the question of the elimination of all forms of intolerance and discrimination based on religion or belief.

72 - وفي التقرير الذي قدمه المقرر الخاص إلى لجنة حقوق الإنسان في دورتها الثامنة والخمسين، أحاط المقرر الخاص اللجنة علما بالأعمال التحضيرية للمؤتمر ووقائعه ونتائجه، وأعرب عن رغبته في استقاء وجهات نظر اللجنة وملاحظاتها بشأن ما ينبغي اتخاذه من مبادرات والقيام به من إجراءات بغية المضي قدما في توظيف التعليم لأغراض منع جميع أشكال التعصب والتمييز القائمة على أساس الدين أو المعتقد.
