9. Following the statements by the representatives of some country Parties, it was affirmed that it was necessary for the CRIC to have more than one session, in order to be able to conduct a thorough and objective review of its terms of reference, its operations and its schedule of meetings.

20. The COP will also decide the date and venue of the seventh session of the CRIC, taking into account any decision the COP may take on the terms of reference of the CRIC, its operations and its schedule of meetings.
20- يبتّ مؤتمر الأطراف أيضاً في تاريخ ومكان انعقاد الدورة السابعة للجنة استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية، آخذاً في الاعتبار أي مقرر قد يتخذه مؤتمر الأطراف بشأن اختصاصات هذه اللجنة وعملياتها والجدول الزمني لاجتماعاتها.

39. By its decision 7/COP.7, the COP decided that the review of the terms of reference of the Committee, its operations and its schedule of meetings will take place at the eighth session of the COP with a view to making any necessary modifications, including reconsidering the modalities of the Committee as a subsidiary body.

35. Decides further that the review of the terms of reference of the Committee, its operations and its schedule of meetings will take place at the eighth session of the COP with a view to making any necessary modifications, including reconsidering the modalities of the Committee as a subsidiary body;

21- وسيبتّ مؤتمر الأطراف أيضاً في تاريخ ومكان انعقاد الدورة الحادية عشرة للجنة استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية، آخذاً في الحسبان المقرر 11/م أ-9 المتعلق باختصاصات هذه اللجنة وعملياتها والجدول الزمني لاجتماعاتها.

B. Review of the terms of reference, operations and schedule of meetings of the CRIC
باء - استعراض اختصاصات لجنة استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية، وعملها، والجدول الزمني لاجتماعاتها

3. By its decision 7/COP.6, the COP decided that the criteria against which the terms of reference, operations and schedule of meetings of the CRIC will be reviewed at COP 7 will be its relevance, impact, effectiveness, appropriateness of format and cost-effectiveness.
3- وقرر مؤتمر الأطراف، بموجب مقرره 7/م أ-6، أن المعايير التي ينبغي أن يتم على أساسها استعراض اختصاصات لجنة تنفيذ الاتفاقية وعملها والجدول الزمني لاجتماعاتها في المؤتمر في دورته السابعة هي الأهمية والتأثير والفاعلية وملاءمة التصميم وفعالية التكاليف.

21. Some submissions put forth detailed criteria against which the terms of reference, operations and schedule of meetings of the CRIC would be reviewed at the seventh session of the COP, included specific indicators, among which were the following:
21- وتضمنت بعض التقارير معايير مفصلة يمكن أن يتم على أساسها استعراض اختصاصات لجنة تنفيذ الاتفاقية وعملها والجدول الزمني لاجتماعاتها أثناء الدورة السابعة لمؤتمر الأطراف، بما فيها مؤشرات محددة، يُذكر منها ما يلي:

(c) To establish an ad hoc working group to review the terms of reference, operations and schedule of meetings of the CRIC by COP 9, and to propose a new decision to replace decision 1/COP.5.
(ج) أن ينشئ فريقاً عاملاً مخصصاً ليستعرض اختصاصات اللجنة وعملياتها والجدول الزمني لاجتماعاتها بحلول الدورة التاسعة لمؤتمر الأطراف، وليقترح مقرراً جديداً يحلّ محل المقرر 1/م أ-5.
