Since the adoption of the General Assembly resolution, the Secretariat has contacted a wide range of relevant stakeholders, drawing their attention to the resolution, in particular to the wish of the General Assembly that both the preparatory process and the high-level intergovernmental event should involve their participation.

At its fifty-fourth session, the General Assembly decided that the Preparatory Committee, at its resumed organizational session, based on the results of the consultations with all relevant stakeholders, in a flexible manner, should consider innovative ways and mechanisms to facilitate the active involvement of all relevant stakeholders in both the preparatory process and the high-level intergovernmental event.
قررت الجمعية العامة في دورتها الرابعة والخمسين أن تقوم اللجنة التحضيرية في دورتها التنظيمية المستأنفة، على أساس نتائج المشاورات التي ستجرى مع جميع أصحاب المصلحة ذوي الصلة، وبطريقة مرنة، بالنظر في آليات وطرق مبتكرة لتسهيل الاشتراك الفعال من جانب جميع أصحاب المصلحة ذوي الصلة في كل من العملية التحضيرية والحدث الحكومي الدولي الرفيع المستوى.
