13 - وتنص المادة 25 من الإعلان العالمي لحقوق الإنسان على أنه لكل شخص الحق في مستوى معيشة يكفي لضمان الصحة والرفاهة له ولأسرته، بما في ذلك على صعيد المأكل والملبس والمسكن والعناية الطبية وعلى صعيد الخدمات الاجتماعية الضرورية.

In 1948, the General Assembly of the United Nations declared in Article 25 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that'everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food'.
ففي عام ٨٤٩١، أعلنت الجمعية العامة لﻷمم المتحدة في المادة ٥٢ من اﻹعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان أن " لكل شخص حق في مستوى معيشة يكفي لضمان الصحة والرفاهة له وﻷسرته، وخاصة على صعيد المأكل... " .

At the outset, the Committee on the Rights of the Child acknowledges the international recognition of the human right to adequate housing, for the first time, in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, article 25 of which states that " everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including ... housing " .
وفي البداية تقر لجنة حقوق الطفل بالاعتراف الدولي لحق اﻹنسان في السكن الملائم، وهو الاعتراف الذي تجلى للمرة اﻷولى، في اﻹعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان الذي تنص المادة ٥٢ منه على أن " لكل شخص حق في مستوى معيشي يكفي لضمان الصحة والرفاهة له وﻷسرته، وخاصة ... المسكن " .

" 1- لكل شخص حق في مستوى معيشة يكفي لضمان الصحة والرفاهة له ولأسرته، وخاصة على صعيد المأكل والملبس والمسكن والعناية الطبية وصعيد الخدمات الاجتماعية الضرورية، وله الحق فيما يأمن به الغوائل في حالات البطالة أو المرض أو العجز أو الترمُّل أو الشيخوخة أو غير ذلك من الظروف الخارجة عن إرادته والتي تُفقده أسباب عيشه.
