33. At its 6th meeting, on 7 March, the Commission took note of the note by the Secretary-General transmitting the report the World Bank and the Partnership in Statistics for Development in the Twenty-first Century on statistical development (E/CN.3/2014/30) (see chap. I, sect. B, decision 45/116).

In accordance with Economic and Social Council decision 2013/235, the Secretary-General has the honour to transmit the progress report of the World Bank and the Partnership in Statistics for Development in the 21st Century on efforts to develop a plan of action on statistical development.

The above reflections formed the gist of the discussions at the Eleventh Management Seminar for the Heads of National Statistical Offices in Asia and the Pacific, organized in collaboration by the Statistical Institute for Asia and the Pacific (SIAP), the ESCAP Statistics Division and the Partnership in Statistics for Development in the Twenty-first Century (PARIS21) in November 2013.
