The present report has been prepared pursuant to General Assembly resolution 58/138 of 22 December 2003, entitled " Preparations for the Eleventh United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice " , in which the Assembly requested the Secretary-General to ensure the proper follow-up to the resolution and to report thereon to the Assembly through the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice at its thirteenth session.
