The SBSTA invited Parties and accredited observers to submit, if appropriate, to the secretariat, by 15 February 2009, their views on issues relating to indigenous people and local communities for the development and application of methodologies.
45- ودعت الهيئة الفرعية الأطراف والمراقبين المعتمدين إلى أن تقدم، بحسب الاقتضاء إلى الأمانة في موعد أقصاه 15 شباط/فبراير 2009 آراءها بشأن القضايا المتصلة بالسكان الأصليين والمجتمعات المحلية فيما يتعلق بوضع المنهجيات وتطبيقها.

The synergy of these two initiatives provides a useful framework for strengthening and promoting education programmes and training projects to increase awareness and preparedness within schools, families and communities on water- and sanitation-related issues.

15 - شرعت المنظمة العالمية للملكية الفكرية في عملية للدراسة والتشاور تتعلق بموضوعين متصلين، وهما: دور القوانين والبروتوكولات العرفية لمجتمعات الشعوب الأصلية والمجتمعات المحلية فيما يتعلق بمعارفها التقليدية ومواردها الوراثية ومظاهر تعبيرها الثقافي التقليدية؛ وعلاقة القوانين والبروتوكولات العرفية بنظام الملكية الفكرية.

14. WIPO has initiated a process of study and consultation on two related questions, namely, (a) the role of the customary laws and protocols of indigenous and local communities in relation to their traditional knowledge, genetic resources and traditional cultural expressions, and (b) the relationship of customary laws and protocols with the intellectual property system.
