With regard to the recommendation of the Committee to the media encouraged to project positive images of women and of the equal status and responsibilities of women and men in the private and public spheres, several important legislative acts and amendments have been adopted since submission of the second and the third periodic reports by Georgia in the field of broadcasting containing safeguards to eliminate discrimination against women.
