The Centre also conducted an expert group meeting on extradition and mutual legal assistance, hosted by the International Association of Penal Law, the International Institute of Higher Studies in Criminal Sciences and the Monitoring Centre on Organized Crime in Syracusa, Italy, from 6 to 8 December 2002.
وعقد المركز أيضا اجتماعا لفريق من الخبراء بشأن تسليم المجرمين والمساعدة القضائية المتبادلة، استضافته الرابطة الدولية لقانون العقوبات والمعهد الدولي للدراسات العليا في العلوم الجنائية ومركز الرصد المعني بالجريمة المنظمة في سيراكيوزا، إيطاليا، من 6 إلى 8 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2002.

On 9 and 10 March 2004, the Office contributed to the Arab seminar on the Convention and its Protocols organized by the Council of Arab Ministers of the Interior and the International Institute of Higher Studies in Criminal Sciences in Tunis.

UNODC and the International Institute of Higher Studies in Criminal Sciences organized in Siracusa, Italy, from 29 November to 3 December 2004 an expert group meeting to review a draft model law on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters, which will provide a solid legal framework for international cooperation against terrorism.
وعقد المكتب والمعهد الدولي للدراسات العليا في العلوم الجنائية، في سيراكوزا بإيطاليا، من 29 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر إلى 3 كانون الأول/ ديسمبر 2004، اجتماعا لفريق من الخبراء لاستعراض مشروع قانون نموذجي بشأن تبادل المساعدة القانونية في المسائل الجنائية، سيوفر إطارا قانونيا مُحكما للتعاون الدولي على مكافحة الإرهاب.

Terrorism will take a prominent place at the Eleventh Congress, with a substantive item on international cooperation against terrorism and links between terrorism and other criminal activities in the context of the work of UNODC and a workshop on measures to combat terrorism, with reference to the relevant international conventions and protocols, organized jointly by UNODC and the International Institute of Higher Studies in Criminal Sciences.
