ثالثا- الزيارتان اللتان قامت بهما الممثلة الخاصة للأمين العام المعنية بحالة المدافعين عن حقوق الإنسان والمقررة الخاصة المعنية بالعنف ضد المرأة

During the past several years our country hosted visits by the Special Representative of the Secretary-General on internally displaced persons, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General on children and armed conflict, the Special Rapporteur on child prostitution, child pornography and the sale of children, and the Special Rapporteur on violence against women.

Given that, despite a clear understanding by both sides of the need for closer cooperation between the Committee and the Special Rapporteur on violence against women, nothing had yet materialized, she suggested that the Committee might consider appointing a focal point to liaise with the special rapporteur.

The High Commissioner considers the invitations to visit Colombia issued by the Government to the Special Representative of the SecretaryGeneral on the situation of human rights defenders and the Special Rapporteur on violence against women to have been very helpful.

242. From 4 to 10 November 1999, the Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions conducted a joint mission to East Timor with the Special Rapporteur on the question of torture and the Special Rapporteur on violence against women, its causes and consequences.

52 - وينبغي أن تقدم نساء الشعوب الأصلية معلومات عن حالات محددة لانتهاكات حقوق الإنسان المزعومة المرتكبة ضد نساء وفتيات الشعوب الأصلية إلى المقرر الخاص المعني بحقوق الشعوب الأصلية، والمقررة الخاصة المعنية بالعنف ضد المرأة.

It also expressed the hope that other special rapporteurs, in particular the Special Rapporteurs on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography and on violence against women would be given adequate financial means to participate at its future sessions.
