65. During the discussions that followed, particular concern was expressed regarding the impacts of overfishing, climate change and ocean acidification.
65 - ودارت مناقشات بعد العروض أُعرب خلالها عن قلق خاص بشأن الآثار الناجمة عن الصيد المفرط وتغير المناخ وتحمّض المحيطات.

The oceans face a variety of existing and emerging threats from human activities, including overfishing, pollution, invasive species, habitat loss and ocean acidification.
وتحيق بالمحيطات طائفة متنوعة من الأخطار القائمة والناشئة التي تخلّفها الأنشطة البشرية، من بينها الإفراط في صيد الأسماك، والتلوث، والأنواع الغازية، وفقدان الموئل، وتحمّض المحيطات.

(f) To enhance the resilience of agriculture and fisheries to the adverse impacts of climate change, ocean acidification and natural disasters;

Concern was expressed that the cumulative effects of climate change and ocean acidification might cause changes in the marine environment at a pace such that marine ecosystems and species would not have sufficient time to adapt.
وأُعرب عن القلق من أن تراكم آثار تغير المناخ وتحمّض المحيطات يمكن أن يتسببا في إحداث تغيّرات في البيئة البحرية بوتيرة لن يكون للنظم الإيكولوجية وأنواع الكائنات البحرية الحية ما يكفي من الوقت للتكيّف معها.

9. Delegations recalled that the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea ( " the Convention " ) provided the legal framework for all activities in the oceans and seas, including in relation to the protection and preservation of the marine environment and ocean acidification.
9 - وأشارت الوفود إلى أن اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لقانون البحار ( ' ' الاتفاقية``) توفر الإطار القانوني لجميع الأنشطة في المحيطات والبحار، بما في ذلك ما يتعلق منها بحماية البيئة البحرية وحفظها وتحمّض المحيطات.
