66. the Special Rapporteur wishes to express her support and good will for the future efforts of the working group, and her sincere hope that its work will contribute to an understanding of mercenarism globally and to the elimination of violations of human rights by public and private entities alike.

In this connection, the Special Rapporteur wishes to draw attention to the Principles on the Effective Prevention and Investigation of Extra-legal, Arbitrary and Summary Executions (Economic and Social Council resolution 1989/65), and in particular paragraphs 12 and 13, which include important provisions as regards the conduct of autopsies.

the Special Rapporteur would like to call attention to those existing United Nations mechanisms, in addition to her mandate, that have the capacity to address State violence against women, which are the following:
