Takes note of the increase of investments of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund in developing countries, and requests the Secretary-General to report to the General Assembly at its sixty-first session on the steps and efforts undertaken to increase, to the maximum extent possible, investments in developing countries;
1 - تحيط علما بزيادة استثمارات الصندوق المشترك للمعاشات التقاعدية لموظفي الأمم المتحدة في البلدان النامية، وتطلب من الأمين العام أن يقدم تقريرا إلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها الحادية والستين عن الخطوات المتخذة والجهود المبذولة لزيادة الاستثمارات في البلدان النامية إلى أقصى حد ممكن؛

7. Also recalls section II.B, paragraph 6, of its resolution 60/236 B, and requests the Secretary-General to report to the General Assembly at its sixty-second session, through the Committee on Conferences, on both the results of the work of the task forces and the outcome of the ongoing consultations among United Nations duty stations on a follow-up to the recommendations of the task forces;

291. The Special Committee recalls paragraph 7 of General Assembly resolution 65/290, and requests the Secretary-General to make further concrete efforts to ensure the proper representation of troop-contributing countries in the Department of Peacekeeping Operations and the Department of Field Support, taking into account their contribution to United Nations peacekeeping.

264. The Special Committee recalls paragraph 7 of General Assembly resolution 65/290, and requests the Secretary-General to make further concrete efforts to ensure the proper representation of troop-contributing countries in the Department of Peacekeeping Operations and the Department of Field Support, taking into account their contribution to United Nations peacekeeping.

5. Notes with concern that the project duration is estimated to be five years and three months, whereas the initial proposal of the Secretary-General consisted of a two-year project, and requests the Secretary-General to make every effort to reduce the time needed to complete the construction, while guaranteeing the effective oversight of the project;

Noting paragraph 16 of the Secretary-General's progress report (A/54/670), the Committee requests the Secretariat to develop, in consultation with Member States, a set of guidelines governing action to be taken in such instances and requests the Secretary-General to provide an update on the request in his next report.
وإذ تشير اللجنة إلى الفقرة 16 من التقرير المرحلي للأمين العام (A/54/670)، فهي تلتمس من الأمانة العامة أن تضع بتشاور مع الدول الأعضاء مجموعة من المبادئ التوجيهية لتنظيم الإجراءات المتخذة في مثل تلك الحالات وتطلب من الأمين العام توفير معلومات حديثة بشأن ذلك الطلب في تقريره القادم.

Welcomes the report of the Secretary-General on fundamental standards of humanity (E/CN.4/2000/94), and requests the Secretary-General, in consultation with the International Committee of the Red Cross, to submit a further report to the Commission at its fifty-seventh session covering relevant developments in relation to the issues identified in these areas;
4- ترحّب بتقرير الأمين العام عن المعايير الإنسانية الأساسية (E/CN.4/2000/94)، وتطلب من الأمين العام أن يقوم، بالتشاور مع لجنة الصليب الأحمر الدولية، بتقديم تقرير آخر إلى اللجنة في دورتها السابعة والخمسين يغطّي التطورات ذات الصلة فيما يتعلق بالمسائل المحددة في هذه المجالات؛

3. Reaffirms that the staff of the United Nations is an invaluable asset of the Organization, and requests the Secretary-General, in the context of the reports requested in the present resolution, to provide information on the consultations undertaken with the staff representatives, in accordance with article VIII of the Staff Regulations, in developing the proposals on personnel policies;

Recalls paragraph 3 of its resolution 59/299, in which it took note of the proposal to expand the United Nations Logistics Base, and requests the Secretary-General that detailed information on the concept of operations, financial and legal implications and expected benefits that may arise from the expansion be submitted with the budget for 2007/08 to the General Assembly for its decision;
