The Security Council also addressed the issue of small arms in the context of its consideration of issues, such as Security Council missions (see S/PV.4911 and S/PV.4899); the protection of civilians in armed conflict (see S/PV.4877); children and armed conflict (Council resolution 1539 (2004)); and the role of business in conflict prevention, peacekeeping and post-conflict peace-building (see S/PV.4943).
