At the XIV Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement, held in Havana, Cuba, in September 2006, the leaders of the non-aligned countries decided to create, expand and deepen more dynamic relations and cooperation with the developed and industrialized countries, particularly with the G-8.
ففي مؤتمر قمة حركة عدم الانحياز الرابع عشر الذي عقد في هافانا، كوبا، في أيلول/سبتمبر 2006، قرر قادة بلدان عدم الانحياز إقامة علاقات وتعاون أكثر دينامية مع البلدان المتقدمة النمو والبلدان الصناعية، وبخاصة مع مجموعة الثمانية وتوسيع نطاق تلك العلاقات وذلك التعاون وتعميقهما.

The United Nations in response has moved to integrate, to the extent possible, its human rights and humanitarian efforts with its peace efforts and to link both areas of effort to its work for reconstruction and development; mechanisms to those ends have been strengthened at Headquarters to enhance substantive and logistical support for forging such linkages and cooperation in the field.

(b) Consultation and cooperation between the United Nations and regional organizations should be expanded and could be formalized in an agreement, covering such issues as meetings of the heads of the organizations, more frequent exchange of information and early warning, co-training of civilian and military personnel, and exchange of personnel within peace operations;
(ب) أن يوسع نطاقُ التشاور والتعاون بين الأمم المتحدة والمنظمات الإقليمية، ويمكن إضفاء صفة رسمية على هذا التشاور وذلك التعاون في اتفاق يغطي مسائل من قبيل اجتماعات رؤساء المنظمات، وزيادة تواتر تبادل المعلومات والإنذار المبكر، والتدريب المشترك للموظفين المدنيين والعسكريين، وتبادل الأفراد داخل عمليات السلام؛
