Numerous Ministers and Heads of Delegation noted that fossil fuels were expected to meet a large share of the anticipated growth in demand for energy in the coming decades, particularly in developing regions, and recommended that Governments should promote the development, transfer and accelerated deployment of cleaner technologies to developing countries.
