On the military side, the Government delivered maps of the positions of its military forces in Darfur to the committee on security and military arrangements operating under the umbrella of the African Union mediation group during the seventh round of talks in Abuja (April 2006), thereby underlining the Government's seriousness and its determination to lose no time in bringing a peaceful resolution to the matter.
