The note emphasizes progress in the implementation of paragraph 4 of Assembly resolution 52/82, in which three “key social and economic policy issues related to the equalization of opportunities for persons with disabilities” are identified — accessibility, social services and social safety nets, and employment and sustainable livelihoods.
