(a) At the level of the State, the approach is, undoubtedly, international human rights law, which provides that States and their agents must observe due diligence to protect, prevent, investigate and punish by law perpetrators of violence against women and ensure, in collaboration with NGOs and other relevant actors, the provision of protective and supportive services for women.
