ونأمل أن يتم التوصل الى تسوية سياسية على أساس المبادئ الواردة في وثيقة هلسنكي الختامية، خصوصا المبادئ المتعلقة بالسلامة اﻹقليمية للدول، والمساواة في الحقوق وفي تقرير المصير للشعوب.

The above provisions are contrary to the Declaration on Principles of International Law concerning Friendly Relations and Cooperation among States in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations contained in General Assembly resolution 2625 (XXV), pursuant to which every State has the duty to promote realization of the principle of equal rights and self-determination of peoples in order to put an end to colonialism.
كما تتنافى الأحكام المذكورة أعلاه مع إعلان مبادئ القانون الدولي المتعلقة بالعلاقات الودية والتعاون بين الدول وفقا لميثاق الأمم المتحدة، الوارد في قرار الجمعية العامة 2625 (د-25)، الذي يكون بموجبه على كل دولة واجب تعزيز إنفاذ مبدأ تساوي الشعوب في الحقوق وفي تقرير المصير لإنهاء الاستعمار.
