٤ - وقررت اللجنة الخامسة بالتزكية التوصية بتعيين السيد كينشيرو اكيموتو عضوا في لجنة المعاشات التقاعدية لموظفي اﻷمم المتحدة اعتبارا من ١ كانون الثاني/يناير ١٩٩٩ حتى ٣١ كانون اﻷول/ ديسمبر ٢٠٠٠.

The Advisory Committee, in its report (A/48/961), recommended the appropriation of an amount of $860 million gross and the Fifth Committee decided to further reduce the amount to be appropriated to $850 million gross.
