Provides juridical advice to the Special Representative, the Deputy Special Representative, the Director and the Force Commander on all legal aspects related to the operation of the Mission. Lastly, I wish to express my appreciation to my Special Representative, to the Force Commander, Major General Barthélémy Ratanga (Gabon), to all MINURCA personnel, as well as to United Nations agencies and programmes operating in the country, for their tireless efforts and commendable dedication during the reporting period, in particular during the presidential election. UN ٦٨ - وأخيرا، أود أن أعبﱢر عن تقديري لممثلي الخاص، ولقائد القوة الميجور جنرال بارثلمي راتانغا )غابون( ولجميع أفراد البعثة، وكذلك لوكالات اﻷمم المتحدة وبرامجها العاملة في البلد، نظرا لجهودهم الدؤوبة وتفانيهم الجدير بالثناء خلال الفترة المشمولة بالتقرير، ولا سيما أثناء الانتخابات الرئاسية.
    32. The Advisory Committee was, however, informed that UNMEE was proposing to reinstate the use of the executive jet for the 2005/06 period in order to provide the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and the Force Commander with adequate support to sustain their efforts on behalf of the peace process, taking into account the fact that direct flights between Asmara and Addis Ababa are still not possible. UN 32 - ولكن اللجنة الاستشارية أبلغت بأن البعثة تقترح العودة إلى استعمال الطائرة المخصصة لكبار المسؤولين في الفترة 2005/2006 من أجل توفير الدعم اللازم للممثل الخاص للأمين العام ولقائد القوة في مواصلة الجهود التي يبذلانها لإنجاح العملية السلمية، مع الأخذ في الحسبان أن الرحلات المباشرة بين أسمرة وأديس أبابا لا تزال غير ممكنة.
