It was specifically organized in preparation for the joint AU Conference of Ministers of Economy and Finance and the ECA Conference of Ministers of Finance, Planning and Economic Development that was held in April 2010 in Lilongwe, Malawi.

This Outcome Document will be submitted to the Third Joint Annual meeting of the African Union Conference of Ministers of Economy and Finance and ECA Conference of Ministers of Finance, Planning and Economic Development in Lilongwe, Malawi 29th-30th March for its consideration.

This is reflected in various decisions and resolutions of the African Union Summit and relevant African Ministerial bodies, most notably, the African Ministerial Conference on the Environment (AMCEN) and Joint Annual Meetings of the AU Conference of Ministers of Economy and Finance and ECA Conference of Ministers of Finance, Planning and Economic Development.

The purpose of this report is to update the 2009 Joint Annual Meetings of the AU Conference of Ministers of Economy and Finance and ECA Conference of Ministers of Finance, Planning and Development on the progress made in the implementation of the Climate Change and Development (Clim-Dev) Africa programme by the African Union (AU) Commission and the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) since the 2008 conference.

The secretariat prepared and presented a report on United Nations system-wide support to the AU and its NEPAD programme to the meeting of the Committee of Experts of the Joint Annual Meetings of the AU Conference of Ministers of Economy and Finance and ECA Conference of Ministers of Finance, Planning and Economic Development.
وأعدَّت الأمانة تقريراً عن الدعم الذي يقدَّم على صعيد منظومة الأمم المتحدة إلى الاتحاد الأفريقي وبرنامج " نيباد " التابع له وقدَّمت التقرير إلى اجتماع لجنة الخبراء للاجتماعات السنوية المشتركة لمؤتمر الاتحاد الأفريقي لوزراء الاقتصاد والمالية ومؤتمر اللجنة الاقتصادية لأفريقيا لوزراء المالية والتخطيط والتنمية الاقتصادية.

The Outcome Document was deliberated on and endorsed at the African LDC preparatory meeting and is being presented to the 2010 Joint Annual Meetings of the AUC Conference of Ministers of Economy and Finance and the ECA Conference of Ministers of Finance, Planning and Development for its deliberation and endorsement.
