124. The variance is attributable to the conversion, effective 1 April 2015, of 56 international posts and positions to national posts (53 in UNAMID and 3 in the Regional Service Centre in Entebbe), a provision for the payment of termination indemnities, and the reduction in the vacancy rate for national General Service posts to 1 per cent, compared to 13 per cent in the 2013/14 period.
