As President of the General Assembly and former Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, I very much appreciate the fact that most speakers expressed appreciation to Under-Secretary-General Jan Egeland for his important work and the work of his staff, and I support the expressed need for the further strengthening of capacity-building within the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
