٣- وإن الاختبار الحاسم في الفترة القادمة حتى انعقاد المؤتمر القادم سيتمثل في كيف سينجح اﻷونكتاد في إثبات صدق وصفه بأنه جهة الوصل في منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة فيما يتعلق بالمعالجة المتكاملة لقضايا التنمية والقضايا المترابطة في مجالات التجارة، والشؤون المالية، والتكنولوجيا، والاستثمار، والتنمية المستدامة.

27. As the focal point within the United Nations for the integrated treatment of trade and development and the interrelated issues in the area of finance, investment, technology and sustainable development, UNCTAD has clearly been mandated to carry out this very important task.
27- وبالنظر إلى أن الأونكتاد يشكل صلة الوصل ضمن منظومة الأمم المتحدة فيما يتعلق بالمعالجة المتكاملة لقضايا التجارة والتنمية والقضايا المترابطة في مجالات التمويل والاستثمار والتكنولوجيا والتنمية المستدامة، فقد تم تفويضه على نحو واضح بالاضطلاع بهذه الوظيفة الهامة بالذات.

1- يؤدي الأونكتاد دور حلقة وصل داخل منظومة الأمم المتحدة فيما يتعلق بالمعالجة المتكاملة لقضايا التجارة والتنمية والمسائل المترابطة المتعلقة بالقطاع المالي والاستثمار والتكنولوجيا والتنمية المستدامة.

As the focal point of the United Nations for the integrated treatment of trade and development and interrelated issues in the areas of finance, technology, investment and sustainable development, UNCTAD is expected to make substantial contributions to the implementation of the outcomes of recent global conferences.
2- ويُتوقع من الأونكتاد، بوصفه صلة الوصل ضمن منظومة الأمم المتحدة فيما يتعلق بالمعالجة المتكاملة لقضايا التجارة والتنمية والقضايا المترابطة في مجالات التمويل والتكنولوجيا والاستثمار والتنمية المستدامة، أن يُسهم إسهاماً كبيراً في تنفيذ نتائج المؤتمرات العالمية التي عُقِدت مؤخراً.

In providing its technical cooperation services, UNCTAD will draw on its expertise as the focal point within the United Nations for the integrated treatment of trade and development and the interrelated issues in the areas of finance, technology, investment and sustainable development.
6- وسيعتمد الأونكتاد، في توفير خدماته في مجال التعاون التقني، على ما يتمتع به من خبرة فنية بوصفه صلة الوصل ضمن منظومة الأمم المتحدة فيما يتعلق بالمعالجة المتكاملة لقضايا التجارة والتنمية والقضايا المترابطة في مجالات التمويل والتكنولوجيا والاستثمار والتنمية المستدامة.

The representative of the United States of America said that his Government attached great importance to UNCTAD as the focal point in the UN system for the integrated treatment of trade and development and interrelated issues of investment and technology.
21- وقال ممثل الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية إن حكومته تعلق أهمية كبيرة على عمل الأونكتاد بوصفه جهة تنسيق أنشطة منظومة الأمم المتحدة فيما يتعلق بالمعالجة المتكاملة للتجارة والتنمية والقضايا المترابطة الخاصة بالاستثمار والتكنولوجيا.

107. As the focal point within the United Nations for the integrated treatment of trade and development and the interrelated issues in the area of finance, investment, technology and sustainable development, UNCTAD has clearly been mandated to carry out this very important task.
