In its resolution 48/228, paragraph 65, the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General to submit a report to the Assembly at its resumed forty-eighth session giving justification for his proposals to abolish 19 posts in the Office of Conference Services, describing carefully the impact of such proposals on the activities of the Office and programme delivery and to submit proposals in that regard.
١ - طلبت الجمعية العامة الى اﻷمين العام، في الفقرة ٤١ من الجزء الثاني من قرارها ٤٨/٢٢٨ أن يقدم الـى الجمعيــة العامة في دورتها الثامنة واﻷربعين المستأنفة، تقريرا يبرر فيه مقترحاته المتعلقة بإلغاء ١٩ وظيفة في مكتب شؤون المؤتمرات ويصف فيه بدقة أثر تلك المقترحات على أنشطة المكتب وعلى إنجاز البرامج، وأن يقدم مقترحات في هذا الصدد.

13. Also requests the Secretary-General, in the context of the consideration by the General Assembly of the question of gratis personnel provided by Governments and other entities, to report on the impact of the implementation of paragraphs 4 (b) and 9 above and to submit proposals in this regard to the Assembly at the main part of its fifty-second regular session, through the Advisory Committee, for appropriate action;
١٣ - تطلب أيضا الى اﻷمين العام أن يقوم، في سياق نظر الجمعية العامة في مسألة اﻷفراد المقدمين دون مقابل من الحكومات والكيانات اﻷخرى، بتقديم تقرير عن اﻵثار المترتبة على تنفيذ الفقرة الفرعية ٤ )ب( والفقرة ٩ أعلاه، وأن يقدم مقترحات في هذا الصدد، عن طريق اللجنة الاستشارية، إلى الجمعية في الجزء الرئيسي من دورتها العادية الثانية والخمسين، لاتخاذ اﻹجراء المناسب؛

In its resolution 53/208 C, the General Assembly stressed the need for the continuous development, maintenance and enrichment of United Nations Web sites with a view to achieving equal treatment of the six official languages on those Web sites, and requested the Secretary-General to submit proposals in this connection to the General Assembly at its fifty-fourth session through the Committee on Conferences and the Committee on Information.
