The annex to the present note recalls the above-mentioned non-exhaustive list of possible elements for a draft decision to reach an agreed interpretation of paragraph 5 of Article 17 of the Basel Convention adopted by the Conference of the Parties at its ninth meeting for consideration by the Openended Working Group at its seventh session.

Taking into account these comments, a lead country or, if one was not identified, the Secretariat, subject to available funding, was to prepare a revised version of the legal analysis by 30 April 2012 for publication on the Basel Convention website and for consideration by the Open-ended Working Group at its eighth meeting.

Invites the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations to consider the comments provided at the twelfth meeting of the Conference of the Parties and to further revise the draft updated technical guidelines referred to in paragraph 3 above for consideration by the Open-ended Working Group at its tenth meeting and the Conference of the Parties at its thirteenth meeting;

1. To request the Technology and Economic Assessment Panel to review the trends in consumption of methyl bromide in Africa and to make appropriate recommendations on phase-out activities for consideration by the Open-ended Working Group at its thirty-second meeting;

The Conference of the Parties also requested the lead country or, if there was no lead country, the Secretariat, in consultation with the small intersessional working group and subject to the availability of funding, to prepare revised draft updated technical guidelines, taking into account the comments received from parties and others, for consideration by the Open-ended Working Group at its ninth meeting.

The small intersessional working group met twice, by teleconference, on 13 February and 20 March 2012 and developed a draft programme of work for the updating of the general technical guidelines and the preparation or updating of specific technical guidelines on persistent organic pollutants with regard to 10 such pollutants newly listed under the Stockholm Convention, for consideration by the Open-ended Working Group at its eighth meeting.
6 - عقد الفريق المصغر العامل بين الدورات مؤتمرين عن بعد، الأول في 13 شباط/فبراير والثاني في 20 آذار/مارس 2012 ووضع مشروع برنامج عمل لاستكمال المبادئ التوجيهية التقنية العامة وإعداد أو استكمال المبادئ التوجيهية التقنية الخاصة بالملوثات العضوية الثابتة تتعلق بعشرة من هذه الملوثات المدرجة حديثاً في إطار اتفاقية استكهولم، وذلك لكي ينظر فيها الفريق العامل المفتوح العضوية في اجتماعه الثامن.

In paragraph 4 of decision BC-11/19, the Conference of the Parties requested the Secretariat to prepare, subject to the availability of funding, a document analysing possible options for future institutional arrangements, including their financial implications, taking into account the submissions made by parties and others, for consideration by the Open-ended Working Group at its ninth meeting.
6 - وفي الفقرة 4 من المقرر ا ب - 11/19، طلب مؤتمر الأطراف إلى الأمانة أن تعد، رهناً بتوفر التمويل، وثيقةً تقدم تحليلاً للخيارات الممكنة للترتيبات المؤسسية المستقبلية، بما في ذلك آثارها المالية، مع الأخذ في الاعتبار الإفادات المقدمة من جانب الأطراف وغيرها من الجهات، لكي ينظر فيها الفريق العامل المفتوح العضوية في اجتماعه التاسع.

By its decision IX/14, the Conference of the Parties, among other things, extended the mandate of a small intersessional working group on used tyres and requested Brazil, as lead country, to prepare a revised version of the technical guidelines on the environmentally sound management of used tyres for consideration by the Open-ended Working Group at its seventh session.
6 - أقر مؤتمر الأطراف، في مقرره 9/14، جملة أمور من بينها توسيع ولاية الفريق الصغير العامل بين الدورات والمعني بالإطارات المستعملة، وطلب إلى البرازيل، باعتبارها البلد القائد، أن تعد صيغة منقحة للمبادئ التوجيهية بشأن الإدارة السليمة بيئياً للإطارات المستعملة لكي ينظر فيها الفريق العامل المفتوح العضوية في دورته السابعة.

8. Invites the lead country or lead countries, if any are selected, or requests the Secretariat, if no lead country is selected and within available resources, to prepare, in consultation with the small intersessional working group, first outlines of the new or updated specific technical guidelines for consideration by the Open-ended Working Group at its ninth meeting;
8 - يدعو البلد القائد أو البلدان القائدة، إذا ما تم اختيار أي منها، أو يطلب إلى الأمانة، إذا لم يتم اختيار بلد قائد، أن تُعد في حدود الموارد المتاحة وبالتشاور مع الفريق المصغّر العامل بين الدورات، أول مخطط للمبادئ التوجيهية التقنية المعيّنة لكي ينظر فيها الفريق العامل المفتوح العضوية في اجتماعه التاسع؛

The Conference of the Parties requested the Secretariat, subject to the availability of resources, to gather and analyse information on the implications of the issues referred to in paragraph 26 (b) of the draft technical guidelines and to prepare a report, taking into account the comments received on the issue from parties and others, for consideration by the Open-ended Working Group at its ninth meeting.
30 - وطلب مؤتمر الأطراف إلى الأمانة، جمع وتحليل المعلومات عن آثار المسائل المشار إليها في الفقرة 26 (ب) من مشروع المبادئ التوجيهية التقنية، رهناً بتوافر الموارد، وإعداد تقرير عن ذلك، مع مراعاة التعليقات التي وردت بشأن هذه المسألة من الأطراف وغيرها، وذلك لكي ينظر فيها الفريق العامل المفتوح العضوية في اجتماعه التاسع.

The Committee also requested the Secretariat to prepare by 31 March 2014 a revised guide to the control system reflecting the outcome of the discussions at the tenth meeting of the Committee, together with further comments received from Committee members, parties and others, for consideration by the Open-ended Working Group at its ninth meeting and the Committee at its eleventh meeting (see UNEP/CHW/CC.10/14).
وطلبت اللجنة أيضاً إلى الأمانة أن تعد بحلول 31 آذار/مارس 2014 دليلاً منقحاً لنظام التحكم يبين نتائج المناقشات التي جرت في الاجتماع العاشر للجنة، وكذلك أي تعليقات إضافية ترد من أعضاء اللجنة والأطراف وغيرها من الجهات، لكي ينظر فيها الفريق العامل المفتوح العضوية في اجتماعه التاسع واللجنة في اجتماعها الحادي عشر (انظر UNEP/CHW/CC.10/14).

The Conference of the Parties further requested the small intersessional working group to develop a draft programme of work for updating the technical guidelines for the environmentally sound management of wastes consisting of, containing or contaminated with persistent organic pollutants, taking into account the comments received from parties and others, for consideration by the Openended Working Group at its eighth meeting.
8 - وطلب مؤتمر الأطراف كذلك إلى الفريق العامل الصغير لما بين الدورات أن يضع مشروع برنامج عمل من أجل تحديث المبادئ التوجيهية التقنية للإدارة السليمة بيئياً للنفايات المكونة من الملوثات العضوية الثابتة أو المحتوية عليها أو الملوثة بها، على أن يأخذ في اعتباره التعليقات التي يتلقاها من الأطراف أو من غيرها، لكي ينظر فيها الفريق العامل المفتوح العضوية في اجتماعه الثامن.
