٢٧ - وقد طلبت الجمعية العامة، في الفقرة ٧ من القرار ٥٢/٢٣٦ المؤرخ ٢٦ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٨، إلى اﻷمين العام، بغية خفض تكلفة تعيين موظفي فئة الخدمات العامة، أن يواصل بذل الجهود لاستخدام موظفين معينين محليا في القوة في وظائف الخدمات العامة، بما يتمشى مع احتياجاتها.
