Signatory and other States, as well as specialized agencies, related organizations and intergovernmental organizations attending the Conference, are requested to send the composition of their delegations to the Conference Secretariat, as soon as possible.
يُرجى من الدول المقبلة على التصديق والدول الأخرى، إضافة إلى الوكالات المتخصصة، والمنظمات المعنية والمنظمات الحكومية الدولية التي ستحضر المؤتمر أن توافي أمانة المؤتمر بتشكيلة وفودها، في أقرب وقت ممكن.

As stated in the note verbale, States wishing to attend were advised to notify the Secretariat of that desire and of the names of the individuals in their delegation, indicating which member of the delegation, if any, would be signing the Convention.

If there were any remaining problems in East Timor, the appropriate framework for discussing them was the dialogue between Indonesia and Portugal conducted under the auspices of the Secretary-General. Accordingly, it was hoped that the States that had criticized Indonesia would exercise self-restraint and help create an atmosphere conducive to resolving the matter.

8. Member States and intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations are invited to promote the evaluation of the efficacy of different forms of providing assistance to victims, the evaluation of the extent to which the criminal justice process takes into consideration the legitimate needs and concerns of victims and the evaluation of different forms of ensuring compensation and restitution to victims.
