4 - يسلِّم المؤتمر بمزايا التطبيقات السلمية للطاقة النووية والأساليب النووية في مجالات تشمل في جملة أمور الأغذية والزراعة والصحة البشرية والصناعة والبيئة، وإدارة موارد المياه، فضلا عن مساهمتها في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة في البلدان النامية وتحسين رفاه ونوعية حياة السكان في العالم عامة.

The States parties recall that the 2000 Review Conference recognized the benefits of the peaceful applications of nuclear energy and nuclear techniques in the fields referred to in articles II and III of the IAEA statute, and their contribution to achieving sustainable development in developing countries and for generally improving the well-being and the quality of life of the peoples of the world.
وتذّكر الدول الأطراف بأن المؤتمر الاستعراضي لعام 2000 أقر بفوائد التطبيقات السلمية للطاقة النووية والتقنيات النووية في الميادين المشار إليها في المادتين الثانية والثالثة من النظام الأساسي للوكالة، وبمساهمتها في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة في البلدان النامية ودورها عموما في تحسين رفاه شعوب العالم ونوعية معيشتها.
