In response to the request of the General Assembly in its resolution 47/191, the present report provides information on initial financial commitments, financial flows and arrangements to give effect to the decisions of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development from all available funding sources and mechanisms.
واستجابة لطلب الجمعية العامة الوارد في قرارها ٤٧/١٩١ يقدم هذا التقرير معلومات عن الالتزامات المالية اﻷولية، والتدفقات والترتيبات المالية ﻹعمال مقررات مؤتمر اﻷمم المتحدة المعني بالبيئة والتنمية من جميع مصادر وآليات التمويل المتاحة.

5. At the 11th meeting, on 21 June, the Chairman introduced a draft decision (E/CN.17/1993/L.5) entitled " Initial financial commitments, financial flows and arrangements to give effect to the decisions of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development from all available funding sources and mechanisms " , which read as follows:
٥ - وفي الجلسة ١١، المعقودة في ٢١ حزيران/يونيه، قدم الرئيس مشروع مقرر )E/CN.17/1993/ L.5( بعنوان " الالتزامات المالية اﻷولية، والتدفقات والترتيبات المالية ﻹعمال مقررات مؤتمر اﻷمم المتحدة المعني بالبيئة والتنمية من جميع مصادر وآليات التمويل المتاحة " ، ونصه كما يلي:

(a) In accordance with the commitments made at the World Summit for Social Development, seek to mobilize new and additional financial resources that are both adequate and predictable and mobilized in a way that maximizes the availability of such resources and uses all available funding sources and mechanisms with a view to contributing towards the goal of poverty eradication and targeting women living in poverty;
)أ( السعي وفقا للالتزامات التي جرى التعهد بها في مؤتمر القمة العالمي للتنمية الاجتماعية، الى تعبئة موارد مالية جديدة وإضافية تكون كافية ويمكن التنبؤ بها وتعبأ على نحو يتيح القدر اﻷقصى من توافر هذه الموارد ويستخدم جميع مصادر وآليات التمويل المتاحة بهدف اﻹسهام في تحقيق هدف استئصال شأفة الفقر والوصول الى المرأة التي تعيش تحت وطأة الفقر؛
