Having obtained the required majority, Ms. AlThani (Qatar), Ms. Aluoch (Kenya), Ms. Lee (Republic of Korea), Mr. Parfitt (Canada), Mr. Siddiqui (Bangladesh), Ms. Smith (Norway), Ms. Vučković-Šahović (Serbia and Montenegro) and Mr. Zermatten (Switzerland) were elected members of the Committee on the Rights of the Child.
