The developing countries should promote self-reliance, giving free rein to their peoples' wisdom, talent and creativity, while the developed countries must provide funding and other forms of assistance to developing countries in support of poverty eradication strategies.
ويتعين على بلدان النامية أن تعزز الاعتماد على النفس وتطلق العنان لحكمة شعوبها ومواهبها وقدراتها الإبداعية، بينما ينبغي للبلدان المتقدمة أن تقدم التمويل وأشكال المساعدة الأخرى إلى البلدان النامية دعما لاستراتيجيات القضاء على الفقر.

٣٣٩ - كما ينبغي لمنظومة اﻷمم المتحدة أن تنظر في تقديم المساعدة التقنية وغيرها من أشكال المساعدة إلى البلدان ذات الاقتصادات التي تجتاز مرحلة انتقالية، وأن تقدم لها تلك المساعدة تسهيلا لحل مشاكلها المحددة فيما يتعلق بالنهوض بالمرأة.

Providing technical and other forms of assistance to LDCs to attain food security and implement rural development programmes;
