Recalling that the Vienna Declaration and Programme of Action, adopted at the recent World Conference on Human Rights, addressed the gender-specific dimension of human rights violations, she expressed confidence that the United Nations would include a gender-sensitive approach in its human rights mechanisms.

The Committee requests that specific information be included in the next periodic report on the measures and programmes relevant to the Convention undertaken by the State party to follow up on the Declaration and Programme of Action adopted at the 2001 World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance, and taking account of general comment No. 1 on the aims of education.
336- وتطلب اللجنة إلى الدولة الطرف تضمين تقريرها الدوري القادم معلومات محددة عمّا اتخذته من تدابير ونفّذته من برامج ذات صلة بالاتفاقية على سبيل متابعة إعلان وبرنامج العمل المعتمدين في المؤتمر العالمي لمكافحة العنصرية والتمييز العنصري وكره الأجانب وما يتصل بذلك من تعصب، الذي عُقد في عام 2001، مع مراعاة تعليق اللجنة العام رقم 1 بشأن أهداف التعليم.

6. The objectives of the special session identified by the General Assembly include both evaluating the effectiveness of implementation of the Copenhagen Declaration and Programme of Action adopted at the Summit and deciding on further initiatives for achieving these commitments.
٦ - وتشمل اﻷهداف التي حددتها الجمعية العامة للدورة الاستثنائية تقييم فعالية تنفيذ إعلان كوبنهاغن وبرنامج العمل اللذين اعتمدهما مؤتمر القمة وتقرير مبادرات إضافية لتحقيق هذه الالتزامات على السواء.

41. The international community had been provided with the means to define immediate objectives in the Declaration adopted by the World Summit for Children, the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Vienna Declaration and Programme of Action adopted at the World Conference on Human Rights.
