Interaction between the Economic and Social Council and the Commission on Science and Technology for Development

It also encourages a pro-active relation between UNCTAD and the Commission on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD), taking into account the role that CSTD can play in shedding expert light on the issue of technology transfer and know-how.

7. Invites the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, the Commission on Narcotic Drugs, the Statistical Commission and the Commission on Science and Technology for Development to consider adopting multi-year programmes of work;

The implementation of these provisions will be better assessed in 2001, once the Commission on the Status of Women, the Commission on Social Development and the Commission on Science and Technology have adopted their multi-year programmes of work, and in 2002 for the Commission on Sustainable Development.
