The present report is submitted pursuant to General Assembly resolution 62/141, in which the Assembly requested the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict to continue to submit reports to it and to the Human Rights Council on the progress achieved and the remaining challenges on the children and armed conflict agenda.

1. The present report is submitted pursuant to General Assembly resolution 62/141, in which the Assembly requested the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict to continue to submit reports to it and to the Human Rights Council on the progress achieved and the remaining challenges on the children and armed conflict agenda.
1 - يُقدَّم هذا التقرير عملا بقرار الجمعية العامة 62/141 الذي تطلب فيه الجمعية إلى الممثلة الخاصة للأمين العام المعنية بالأطفال والنزاع المسلح أن يواصل تقديم تقارير إلى الجمعية ومجلس حقوق الإنسان عن التقدم المحرز والتحديات الباقية التي تعترض الخطة المتعلقة بالأطفال والنزاع المسلح.

The report described the achievements and the remaining challenges facing the country, particularly in the areas of political dialogue, security sector reform, socio-economic development, issues regarding internally displaced persons, capacity-building, governance and human rights.
ويتضمن التقرير وصفا للإنجازات والتحديات المتبقية التي يواجهها البلد، لا سيما في مجالات الحوار السياسي وإصلاح قطاع الأمن والتنمية الاجتماعية - الاقتصادية والمسائل المتعلقة بالمشردين داخليا، وبناء القدرات، والحوكمة، وحقوق الإنسان.

The report of the mission described the achievements and the remaining challenges facing the country, particularly in the areas of political dialogue, security sector reform, socio-economic development, issues regarding internally displaced persons, capacity-building, governance and human rights.

The women representatives highlighted the progress being made and the remaining challenges to the advancement of women, including in promoting their political participation in the forthcoming elections.
